Mobile Poker
My question is why we do not see any mobile gaming coming en masse? One of the reasons might be the parts that Apple have been the leader in the smartphone market for a while and iTunes App Store has not let all applications through. But html5 should be able to do a lot of what flash used to do.
The future of online gaming is in my opinion something that could be done using mobile devices, iPad and other devices like it have the size to be a perfect poker machine.
My guess is that security might be an issue but the banks seems to have passed that and casinos usually is way in front of banks with the online security.
Why do we not see a big storm of mobile poker rooms? It might be that the big fish play longer periods and the normal person that would enjoy a 10 minute mobile poker period do not contribute as much to the poker sites.
I have been trying to ask all these questions but never getting any answer from the big poker sites without any success, either they are working on something and like to keep it secret or they just need more time to test the security and functionality.
Would a mobile platform make me play more? i think it would make me play less just playing for short periods and then not having the urge to play several hours in a day.
Hopefully 2011 will bring us some answers.
